Religious Studies Students who have not been enrolled in an Adventist Bible curriculum within the past three years are asked to take a religion-course placement survey to determine which religion course is most appropriate for them. Intro to Christianity / 10 units Introduction to Christianity gives an expansive presentation of the mystery of God. Earth's origin, the beginning of evil, and God's interaction with the human race are all explored to weave an understanding of why we exist. The second quarter focuses on the life of Jesus Christ and helps explain the basis of the Christian faith. Religion I / 10 units The first semester of Religion I explores Religion II / 10 units Religion II is a class designed to discover God's leading of His people. This covers the period from the time of Abraham and Moses clear down to our time today. Emphasis will be placed First semester on the Old Testament. It is shown that God is always leading even if the His people are not always following. Second semester places emphasis on God's leading in these current times. Study of the reformation and its reformers is covered. Of special interest is the formation and purpose of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and how it fits into the reformation and plan of God for these days of earth's history. Students will be given opportunities to share areas of special interest to them through reports, PowerPoint presentations, drama, and oral interpretation.
