 Rio Missions Update: Mission Trip Rules Dear Parent/Guardian,
It’s that time already! We leave Rio Lindo Academy at 8am on March 16, flying out of San Francisco, CA. After flying through Seoul, Korea, we spend the night in Bangkok before heading up to Chiang Mai. (Please see the Daily Itinerary that is attached for the detailed flight info, as well as what we’ll do each day.) We fly back and arrive in San Francisco on Wednesday, March 31, at 10am. Please note that a bus will be there to take your student back to Rio, unless you wish to pick them up at the airport. Please let your teen know if you plan to pick them up and take them back so that we can plan accordingly. Also enclosed is a copy of the rules we have for those going on the trip. Please note that if there is an extreme case in discipline or not following the rules, a student could be sent home at parent’s expense. We are really excited about what the Lord will do on this trip! We’re so glad to have your teen joining this historical mission effort, and we know that it will change all the lives involved. Mission Trip Itinerary.DOC Please Note: Parental consent forms MUST be notarized by a notary public before they are returned to Rio Lindo Academy. Mae Suay, Thailand 2010 In March of 2010, Rio Lindo Academy will be heading to Mae Suay, Thailand for our annual mission trip. Mae Suay is about 140 Kilometers north of Chiang Mai. Our goal is to build a gravity fed fresh water system to this village as well as providing Vacation Bible School meetings and medical/dental clinics. Our group size is at 50 persons and there are 40 RLA students in that group. The trip cost is $1500.00 per person not including the cost of vaccinations. Vaccinations for this trip include the mandatory Yellow Fever vaccine and Malaria Prophylaxis. For any more information, please contact Krystalynn or Steven Martin. Deadlines Mission deposit of $100.00 Paid to hold seat on trip December 1, - Letter sent out (50 if possible). Parents can decide whether or not to send out these fundraising letters December 15, - $100 added to depposit January 5, - Passport must be in students possession at Rio Lindo Academy January 15, - Trip Paid in full by those choosing not to do fundraising February 01, - Cost of Airfare due - $805.00 - included in $1500 Febrary 18, - Notarized documnets returned to Rio Lindo Academy.
