Academic Information
Graduation Diplomas
Rio Lindo Adventist Academy has tailored its academic program to accommodate a wide range of academic abilities and interests. There are three diplomas available:
General Diploma: 240 units
College Prep Diploma: 275 units
Honors Diploma: 300 units
Issuance of Diplomas
A Diploma is issued when all course work is completed, final grades are recorded on the transcript, and the account is paid in full.
Academic Recognition
To recognize the academic achievements of Rio students, the school prints an honor roll following each nine-week grading period using the following:
GPA of 3.75-4.00: Gold Honor Roll
GPA of 3.25-3.74: Silver Honor Roll
Students with exceptionally high grades will be recognized during the graducation excercises with honor cords at the following GPA levels:
Cumulative GPA of 3.75-4.00: Gold Cords
Cumulative GPA of 3.25-3.74: Silver Cords
Course Changes
All program changes should be made at the Registrar's Office. Parental permission is required for all program changes. Please see the school calendar for the specific deadlines for adding or dropping classes.
Test Permits
Accounts are to be paid or guaranteed before finals are taken. Students whose accounts are not cleared will not be permitted to take their exams.
Transcripts
Official transcripts will be released upon written request when accounts are cleared.

Rio reserves the right to record only those courses, grades, and credits which are received on an official transcript from an accredited school.
Transfers
If a student leaves school during the school year, a withdrawal form will be prepared which shows the student's grades in his/her classes at that time. There will be a charge for any textbooks not returned. |
