Course Credit
Most classes are offered on a semester unit basis. Students must request approval from the Curriculum Committee if they wish to audit a class. Students repeating classes for any reason will receive credit toward graduation only once. For repeated classes, both grades will appear on the permanent record; however, only the higher grade will be used in calculating cumulative grade-point average.
Grading System
The academic year is divided into two semesters. Each semester is further divided into two nine-week grading periods. Final grades for classes, attendance and work are given at the end of each semester and recorded permanently on the official transcript. Attendance and work grades are not used to calculate the cumulative grade-point average (GPA). Semester and cumulative GPAs are included on the report cards.
