A Season of Thanks at Rio

With Thanksgiving approaching, the students of Rio were given the opportunity to share what they were thankful for via a bulletin board in the library. The bulletin board started out with nothing except a few fall photos and the words "I'm thankful for..." on it. Students were then provided with paper, pens, and a stapler and encouraged to write and share what, and who, they were thankful for.

The responses varied from simple or humorous things such as candy, rain, turtles, the weekend, and peanut butter to more serious things such as opportunities, another day of life, forgiveness, God, my home Church, a fresh start, hope, family, and Rio students and staff.
