AP Classes
AP (Advanced Placement) is a way for students take a college level course and receive college credit while still being a high school student. AP courses will teach you to think more critically, write more eloquently, and study better; all of which will help you in college. In the spring, you can take an AP exam in one or more of the subjects you have been studying. If you pass the AP exam, you will be eligible to earn college credit from most four year colleges. Earning college credit in high school will enable you to get general requirements finished sooner, thus allowing you to move into upper level courses quicker and possible pursue a double major. If you are thinking about taking an AP class or would like to know more about it, visit the AP website here for some helpful information: https://apstudent.collegeboard.org AP courses offered at Rio- Honors English III and IV- Honors U.S. History |
