Faculty Highlight – Mark Tamanaha

This week for Faculty Facts Friday we are highlighting Mark Tamanaha, Math Teacher. Mr. Tamanaha graduated from Rio in 1999, and knows from his own experience as a student here, that a teacher can make a powerful difference in a young person’s life. Whether you knew Mr. Tamanaha in high school or have him as a teacher now, here’s some new interesting facts…

Q: If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?

A: Give everyone everything they needed for that whole day.

Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A: Mexican food, because it’s all the same “food” but can be prepared different ways so that you still have a “variety” of food.

Q: What was your favorite subject in school?

A: Didn’t’ have a favorite, most came easy so school was just school.

Q: If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

A: Everything I don’t do normally, projects around the house, cook for the family, build all my partial bikes and ride my bike more.

Q: What are some small things that make your day better?

A: Watching people be kind to one another by giving random gifts to random people.

What was your hardest class at Rio?

Check back next Friday for another Faculty Highlight!
