Robert Pappas, Art Fundamentals / Ceramics / Glass Art

Bob Pappas sits holding glass art

Bob Pappas is a working artist and art teacher at Rio. After teaching glass and ceramics at the university level for nine years, Mr. Pappas enthusiastically answered the call to teach art to Rio students. His sons attended Rio long ago and he was always impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the student body and staff.

Mr. Pappas’s expertise in glass making can be seen all around the West Coast, featured in churches and other buildings. One of his more recent commissions is a 30 foot high depiction of Christ’s Second Coming on the Yountville SDA Church. He passes on his wisdom and passion for art to his students and finds students’ openness to learning as an advantage to creating and experiencing the power of art.
