Scott Higgins, Executive Chef

Scott Higgins is a quiet force to be reckoned with in the cafeteria kitchen.  He creates a healthy, energetic and positive atmosphere and his student workers often walk out of work with homemade smoothies or other treats.  In recent years, Mr. Higgins has incorporated more organic, non-GMO, fresh fruits and vegetables and has re-created much of the meal menu to reflect a more homemade, healthy approach to food.

Mr. Higgins loves being creative in the kitchen. Besides maintaining his walk with Christ, Mr. Higgins enjoys spending quality and quantity time with his wife and two daughters as well as surfing every chance he gets.

“It’s a blessing to be in service around academy age students. They help push the positive boundaries of what can be accomplished,” says Mr. Higgins.
