Renee Brassington, School Counselor

Renee Brassington is a credentialed school counselor, mom of two, and a passionate follower of Christ. She loves helping students achieve their goals or just turn in their homework. Besides meeting with students on an individual basis for counseling, goal setting, or career counseling, Mrs. Brassington helps students academically and empowers students to take ownership and responsibility for their learning. She leads the Peer Mentoring program and is also a Student Association sponsor. One of the programs that Mrs. Brassington was integral in developing is Rio’s Navigate program, which readies students for higher education, career and personal development beginning at the 9th grade level. Mrs. Brassington is inspired when students overcome challenges, practice responsibility and choose to follow Christ. Outside of work Mrs. Brassington enjoys hiking, biking, and time with family.
