This week for Faculty Facts Friday we are highlighting Joanna Bennett, Accounts Payable. You will find Mrs. Bennett in the Business Office or walking around on campus. Her friendly smile welcomes students, staff and parents and she enjoys working with the business team and creating a warm environment. Here are some facts about Joanna Bennett that you may not know:
Q: What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
A: I think everyone should live outside of their home country for a year. It’s very educational and makes you appreciate both your own and other cultures.
Q: What was your first job?
A: That depends. I used to work in my aunt’s pharmacy, and I did get paid. But I’d say my first real job was working for a small, independent baker one summer. I had to ride my bike about 4 miles early in the morning, then ride back home in the middle of a SoCal afternoon – usually about 85-90 degrees.
Q: What was your favorite subject in school?
A: I’d have to say foreign languages – I’ve studied French, Spanish, Japanese, and Indonesian.
Q: How do you relax after a hard day of work?
A: I like to do Sudoku, make greeting cards, read, and watch TV.
Q: What job would you be terrible at?
A: I would not make a good mathematician, scientist, or entertainer (actress, comedian, etc.).
