Life at Rio

Living at Rio is more than exciting; it’s life changing. The classroom is just the beginning. Much of your learning at a boarding school takes place outside the classroom as you immerse yourself in the numerous social activities that help you make friends for life.

After School

Join a campus club, play on a sports team, play music for a worship service, or serve others in a weekend community service project. There is always something exciting going on both after school and on the weekends.

Student Activities

Students enjoy playing schoolyard games for intramurals during their recreation time between each evening after dinner. Intramural games vary by season and include friendly competitions of ultimate frisbee, racket smack-it, dodgeball, floor hockey, kickball, softball and more.

Social Life

Boarding school students are more active during or after school than public and private school students. About 60% of Rio students are involved in varsity sports and 85% of the student body participates in the intramural program.

Dining On Campus

Our goal is to see our students grow and succeed. We want Rio to be a place where students become independent, find their calling and become closer to God.
