This week for Faculty Facts Friday we are highlighting Phoenix Hardin, Assistant Chaplain. Chaplain Phoenix spends most of her day organizing events for campus ministries and assisting the girls’ dorm. Read below to learn more about Phoenix Hardin:
Q: If you could choose to do anything for a day, which would you choose?
A: I would go to an amusement park with some friends. Roller coasters, carnival games, live music and the high risk for a sunburn–it’s all even better in a group!
Q: What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
A: Ride a hot air balloon. It’s an injustice I have never been.
Q: What do you want to be remembered for?
A: Kindness, generosity, sincerity and love. All the good things that make someone worthy of remembrance.
Q: What are you most looking forward to in the next 10 years?
A: There is quite a bit of mystery in the next ten years of my life. I look forward to embracing the unknown, following God’s leading and becoming surrendered to His will. I know I won’t come out the same, but I’ll be better–happier, more giving and kind, more settled. I am excited for that version of myself.
Q: What are some small things that make your day better?
A: Coffee. And some good, honest conversation; I love it when someone shares with me what’s on their heart, no matter how seemingly insignificant.
